Pigeon racing is a sport in which specially bred and trained pigeons are released from specific locations. They then race back to their home lofts. Their speed and distance is measured against others in their club to determine the winner.

Ashby Flying Club has been in Ashby for over 60 years. Basketing is undertaken at the headquarters which is The Bowling Green Pub in Ashby.

Membership acceptance is by committee vote. The club welcomes new member applications. Please note when applying the club does not race ETS clocks and therefore applications should not be made if members only use the ETS.
