LEFA

LEFA is a local field archery club that has been based a wood on the Staunton Harold Estate for over 20 years. We are one of the largest clubs in the National Field Archery Society.

The club is easily accessed from Ashby and has plenty of car parking next to its club house. Club members can use the wood dawn-to-dusk every day of the week from February to November, and alternate weekends in the winter.

We offer training and advice to new archers. Experienced archers are also more than welcome to join but need a safety assessment for insurance reasons.

We lay a course of at least 36 3D animal targets in the wood and change the layout annually. Shots range from 10 yards to 60 yards to suiting beginners to experts using long, recurve or compound bows. We have occasional club shoots and run 2 open competitions each year to allow archers from the rest of the UK to experience our course.
